App Studio is designed with privacy as a core principle. This page explains exactly what happens to your data when you use the app.
When you select a photo, App Studio reads its EXIF metadata (date, time, and GPS location) entirely within your own browser using client-side JavaScript. Your photo file is not uploaded to any server for the When/Where features — it never leaves your device for this purpose.
If your photo contains GPS coordinates, those coordinates (not the photo itself) are sent to a third-party reverse-geocoding service to convert them into a readable place name. No other photo data is included in this request.
If you choose to tap “Ask AI — Describe Photo,” a resized, compressed copy of your photo is sent to a third-party AI vision model via an API for analysis. This is entirely optional and only happens when you explicitly tap that button. The AI provider processes the image to generate a description and does not receive any other information about you.
If you provide your own API key to enable the AI Description feature, that key is stored only in your browser's memory for the current session and is never saved to a server or sent anywhere other than the AI provider's official API endpoint.
App Studio may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. App Studio does not require account creation and does not sell your personal data. Aside from advertising cookies described above, we do not use tracking cookies.
App Studio is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This policy may be updated as features are added. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Check this page periodically for updates.
